2015: Outbox Incubator
How do you ready young STEM Entrepreneurs for life outside the box?
Summer 2015. 6 weeks, 115 girls, one house.
Here’s the inside story on inspiring young women to launch innovative STEM businesses.
"It is a fact that very young entrepreneurs are exclusively male, particularly in STEM...there are some girls out there who are challenging this trend."
"Teenage girls who want to create their own science and tech start-ups have been given a welcome boost in the form of the Stemettes Outbox Incubator."
'Stemettes’ Outbox Incubator to build start-ups for teen girls', April 2015
An initiative by Stemettes to provide seed funding, intensive mentorship, and support to talented girls aged 22 and under who have innovative business and technology ideas. Based in London, the incubator ran over the 2015 summer holidays and was an internationally focused programme, accepting talented girls from across the UK, Ireland and the EU. Each week took 45 girls of which a proportion were resident in the Outbox house.
Outbox Executives pitched their ideas to angels and mentors, who pledged money, time and support.

I was reminiscing about Outbox the other day and was thinking about how I wished I was as confident and ambitious as I am now back then, only to realise that it was Outbox itself that helped me become more confident.
